Rationale

Professionalism strengthens program quality and protects children. Ethical conduct, continuous learning, and advocacy ensures educators maintain high standards of care and education.

Example of Standard 6

As a lead teacher we attend trainings annually. We reflect on classroom challenges during team meetings, and advocate for appropriate staff-child ratios. I also stay up to date on CPR certifications and any new trainings that are required by Oakland Schools for our High Scope Curriculum.
